Travel Nurse License & Nurse Compact States
Your Travel Nurse License Roadmap
As your nurse recruiters, we want to make the process of getting licensed as convenient as possible (not to mention getting you the best traveling nurse salary we can). Travel nurse licensing timeframes and terminology can be confusing, so our team is here to help you learn everything you need to know about applying for a license in a new state, nursing compact states, and more.
eNLC Implementation: Nurse Compact States
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) has implemented the new Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC), which has replaced the original NLC with the long-term goal of enabling all 50 states to enact the eNLC. How the eNLC affects travel nurses? For many, nurse compact states make licensing easier when moving from state to state.
Please note that timeframes for verifications, transcripts, and background checks can affect the processing times for travel nurses, and each person’s situation may vary slightly. Please consult your recruiter or the Board of Nursing to get more detailed information.
